The chat feature in Google Docs is very useful since it allows us as a group to discuss the different characteristics of the projects in a quicker way. Also I think Google Docs is safe place for storing my documents. Therefore, I save all my project documents in Google Docs so if I have any problem with my laptop, I don't lose my work.

I like Google+ and I use it in daily basis and I believe that it is a great tool to keep in touch with others.

Picas: is powerful software that allows me to edit my photos, add text to them and create movies very easily in a short time and in high quality. Moreover, I can create collages in very easy way and in different ways or styles. I found Picas much easier than Photoshop.

Social bookmarking (Delicious)

Dubai Police Ferrari Car in DWC

On 28th of May, I found Dubai Police Ferrari car at the gate which was look amazing and beautiful all the students tried taking pictures of the cars . I was wondering why Dubai police are in our college with their amazing Ferrari car then I noticed that there are forum about Female professional pioneers join Emirati Women Breaking Barriers Forum which was supported by Dubai Police and Dubai Duty Free.

The forum, organized and managed by seven HCT-Dubai Corporate Communications Year-4 students, was designed to shed light on the first Emirati women in their professions, by celebrating their stories and discussing gender, family and cultural barriers.

I think that this forum was great opportunity for these pioneering women to express their feelings and experiences in breaking the boundaries of gender, family, culture and career to become the first in their careers which I think is very difficult in our UAE culture. This forum shows the importance of accepting life challenges regardless of the gender, family, culture and career of the person, and learning on how to become a successful contributor to the community.

Most of DWC students, and  DWC high school and the college Korean Club members, attended the event which aims at celebrating Korean culture with performances of traditional and modern Korean music and Taekwondo demonstrations. I attended Korean tea ceremony which is a traditional form of green tea ceremony practiced in Korea and I enjoy drinking tea while listening to a Korean female talking about Korea’s culture, language, heritage and hospitality. Moreover, I had opportunity to wear the traditional Korean dress “Hanbok”; which is often characterized by vibrant colors and simple lines without pockets. Tripe to Masdar City

On 22 April 2013 I visited Masdar City in Abu Dhabi on an experiential learning initiative with my classmates. We have toured the Masdar Institute Headquarters in a Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) vehicle, an electric-powered car used as public transit at Masdar. The Headquarters is a modern modular, low-carbon design building and its façade acts as protection against heat with vertical and horizontal shading. Solar water heaters (Flat Plate Collector) supply 75% of the domestic hot water demand and the PV panels supply renewable electric power to the building. The landscape is designed to conserve water, promote biodiversity and create thermally comfortable outdoor spaces. In the central courtyard the Institute has a wind tower which has been designed to bring cool air down to the ground level. At the top of the tower, sensors detect when it is necessary for the wind tower to start diverting wind down the tower. It was great tripe because we explored more about this amazing city that will rely entirely on solar energy and other renewable energy sources with all their facilities.  At the end we have signature in touch screen and we receive our signature by email.
